Over a hundred girls answered a nationwide casting call to be the next Miss Universe Malaysia, but only one will go on to compete in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. In this episode, we’re at the final auditions in the search for Miss Universe Malaysia 2017. Nationwide casting calls made by the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (MUMO) in 2016 attracted over a hundred girls who interviewed with a panel of judges that included Miss Universe Malaysia 2003/MUMO national director Elaine Daly. “We want girls who believe they have the confidence to impress us,” Daly said. The top 18 finalists include three women who introduced themselves in our video – Karshini Ghanesh, Maegan Yip and Nicolle Tan. Is one of them the It girl with the X-factor who could at last win the crown for Malaysia for the first time? The Miss Universe Malaysia 2017 pageant happens 23rd February 2017.
